We joined Natalie Morales and the Today Show team behind the scenes at one of our Colorado greenhouses – in fact, it was in this greenhouse that the Stanley Brothers really dug into their mission to support Americans through the benefits of CBD.
The entire Charlotte’s Web family is honored to be featured on the Today Show this week. From humble beginnings in Colorado, today the family is dedicated to bringing care to those around the country. Joel, Josh, Jesse, J Austin, Jordan, Jon and Jared honored their mom when explaining the history of the company to Natalie. And her joyous smile says it all – she’s proud of how her seven boys have grown into men and how their dream of helping others turned into the Charlotte’s Web company.
“I could not be more proud. It’s been an amazing journey. You always hope your life will serve a purpose and it has.” Kristi sharing her pride for the boys with Natalie.
The conversation explores how their upbringing lead them to the journey of helping one little girl named Charlotte. And how the journey expanded into being in the kitchens and cabinets of hundreds of thousands of people around the country as CBD becomes more approachable, understood, and revered for its powerful botanical benefits.
Joel, chairman of the Charlotte’s Web board, values his upbringing in a huge family – eleven kids, to be exact. He credits the struggles their family faced when he was growing up with inspiring the mission to help others. Family is everything, but family isn’t just because you’re all blood-related, as Joel will often explain when talking about meeting Charlotte’s mom, Paige. Family is anyone you care deeply about. “When someone’s getting picked on, we have each other‘s backs. Without growing up like that we wouldn’t have been able to do this.”
“The most amazing part of Charlotte’s story was that all the brothers stepped into a role to get this off the ground.” Jared spoke with Natalie on how it all started with each brother leaning in, helping out, and giving up everything to make it work. Today, he spends each day focused on cultivation at Charlotte’s Web, leading the team that hand-tends our precious plants in the greenhouses and outside under the sun.
